Exynos Variants Of The Galaxy S5 Begin Receiving Android Lollipop Update
Owners of the Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy S5 need no longer wait for their Android 5.0 Lollipop updates, today it has started rolling out to them. At the moment the update is only rolling out to Exynos-powered S5s in one region which is Kazakhstan. Other regions where there are Exynos-powered S5s should be hit by the update sooner than later.
Unfortunately, before today the Lollipop update was only being rolled out to Qualcomm variants of the Galaxy S5 but obviously that has changed today. For this we have to give Samsung some major credit, they have been unrelenting with their Android Lollipop rollout and now they are rolling out the update for two separate chipsets. Doing this is not an easy task by any means, it requires a substantial amount of development and troubleshooting.
If you own an Exynos-powered Galaxy S5 and have received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on your device, what region are you in? We’d really appreciate it if you shared with us!
