NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet Powered By Tegra X1 Could Be Coming Later This Year

One of the biggest and most exciting announcements of CES 2015 had to be the Tegra X1 processor by NVIDIA. The “superchip” packs a serious punch in what it can do, but NVIDIA told us that they probably wouldn’t be putting it in a phone or tablet, at least not at first. However it seems they may have changed their minds just a bit as rumors now point towards a new NVIDIA SHIELD tablet coming this year.

Rumors are conflicting as some point toward March, alongside the release of the Tegra X1 chip, but others point towards July. Not much information is available regarding the tablet, but it’s expected that we’ll be keeping the 8-inch form factor with an LTE model coming after launch.
