Android Wear isn’t the most popular platform quite yet but quite a few people have bought into it and purchased an Android Wear device. It is still a relatively new platform, which means that a lot of people, unless they are techies, aren’t sure of how to do the little things on their Android Wear device. Little things such as checking if their device has a software update are difficult to regular users not only because the platform is newer, but also because of the smaller screen size. Smaller screen size can make it a frustrating experience to navigate and look for something very specific, especially if you don’t know how to use the device very well as is. This is why we decided to help you folks out there who are struggling with checking for software updates on your Android Wear device.
So, the first thing you are going to want to do is tap your Android Wear devices display to wake it up, then tap it again to access the menu. Now that the menu is open you will need to scroll down to the “Settings” button and tap it. Then scroll all the way down to the bottom of the settings and tap the “About” button. Once you’re in the about section, scroll down to the bottom and you will see “System updates”, tap it. Here you will more than likely see a bright green screen that says “System is up to date” but there is a slight chance that you will have an update to your device waiting for you there.
Be sure to drop us a comment if you have any issues or questions about the process we just described to you above. We would be more than happy to help!
