Google Has Just Announced Two New Models Of The Chromebook Pixel

We have been waiting for this for awhile now, the new Chromebook Pixel has finally been made official. Google has just announced not one but two new versions of the Chromebook Pixel, one more powerful than the other.

The first version of the Chromebook Pixel will be $999 and be powered by an Intel Core i5 2.2Ghz processor. The second and more powerful version of the Chromebook Pixel will be powered by an Intel Core i7 2.4Ghz processor. As for other differences between the two Pixels, the i5 model will come with 8GB or RAM and a 32GB SSD drive for storage. While the i7 model will come with 16GB of RAM and a 64GB drive for storage.

Both new models of the Pixel have 2560×1700 3:2 displays, also being touchscreens. They will also both have Intel HD 5500 integrated graphics chips included. Also worth mentioning is the battery of these new Pixels, supposedly capable of delivering 12 hours of battery life. That’s not the only thing worth mentioning about the battery, you will be able to get two hours of battery life from just 15 minutes of charging.

Remember the new MacBooks that Apple announced yesterday? One of the main points that Apple loved talking about was the fact that it used the new Type C charger, well so do these two new Pixels. These new Pixels also use USB 3.0 and and SD card slot.

Google is launching these two new Pixels on their brand new hardware store that they silently launched today called the “Google Store.” It looks like you can buy both of the Pixels right now, they are shipping in one to two days.
