Japanese mobile game publisher DeNA has just announced an interesting partnership with Nintendo to produce mobile games. The collaboration between the two companies will result in the creation of a handful of games for mobile devices using Nintendo’s characters.

These games will not be ports from the Wii U and 3DS, but entirely new games based on Nintendo’s games. At this time we don’t know which games will be released or which characters will be used. Personally I’m hoping for some MarioKart on my phone. You can’t say that wouldn’t be amazing.

In addition to that news, Nintendo also announced that they would be working with DeNA to create a membership service for smartphones, tablets, PCs, and their own systems. We don’t have any details right now on what this service will offer.
