Apple To Bring A New Apple TV With Siri Integration To WWDC?

It’s been a really, really long time since Apple updated the Apple TV. We’ve had the current model since 2012, so it’s without a doubt time for something new. Thankfully it looks like Apple is planning to bring an updated version of the Apple TV to WWDC. What will be new? Well aside from the hardware, Siri and App Store integration.

John Paczkowski, formerly of Recode states that the device will bring more on board storage for apps and will use Apple’s A8 “or higher” chipset for more power. The new hardware is likely to be slimmer and bring an updated remote alongside it with a microphone. Apple is rumored to be working on a television subscription service so it makes sense that the service would launch alongside this new update Apple TV.  It’s also worth noting that Apple’s website lists the Apple TV as “starting at $69”. Generally that means there is more than one model available, but as of right now, that isn’t the case.

John Paczkowski has a pretty good track record when it comes to Apple leaks, so we’ll see if this does end up panning out. But what do you think? Do you want a new Apple TV or are you satisfied with what you’ve got right now?
