AT&T Has Invested $1.6 Billion To Improve Their Network In North Carolina – Gigabit Internet Coming To Charlotte And Greensboro
AT&T has announced today that they have spent $1.6 Billion dollars over the past 3 years to improving their network in North Carolina. This was spent creating over 120 new cell sites and over 400 network upgrades in 2014 alone. This wasn’t spent only on their cellular network however, but also their U-Verse internet and telephone service. Thousands of new customers were added throughout Charlotte, Raleigh, High Point and surrounding areas. Parts of Winston-Salem and Raleigh-Durham also received Gigabit internet service during 2014. AT&T plans to bring this service to the Charlotte and Greensboro areas soon.
