The official unveiling of the LG G4 is right around the corner and in preparation of the launch, LG is planning on sending out 4,000 units of the LG G4 to customers around the globe as part of a new campaign.
This new campaign is designed to help LG gather information on the design and features of the new flagship. Users will enter this campaign though social media (Facebook, Twitter, Weibo) and if selected, will be able to “test drive” the G4 for up to 30 days. During that 30 days users will be asked to complete certain challenges in order to win prizes.
LG did not confirm if users will be able to keep the handsets or win the chance to do so.
The program will target 14 markets around the world including Turkey, Indonesia, Singapore, China, India, Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, and the United States. The program kicks off over the next few days on LG’s social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Weibo.
“Customers are our best fans and we think this would be an exciting and unique way to get our most important mobile product of the year close to the public,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile. “We’re putting the success of LG G4 in the hands of consumers before the launch because we believe they are the best judge of a great user experience, beyond just benchmarks and speed tests.”
This campaign is definitely unique, although it’s not the first time this has happened. Huawei launched a similar campaign recently with their newest device.
