LG Lancet Is Verizon’s First Windows Phone Of 2015

Last year we saw a small handful of Windows Phone handsets on Verizon in the form of the exclusive Nokia Lumia Icon and the HTC One M8 With Windows. Both handsets aimed for the higher end market and definitely delivered in their promises. However now in 2015, we haven’t seen any new Windows Phone devices on The Big Red, or on the platform in general. Now, 5 months into the year, we finally have a new Windows Phone, and it’s from LG.

The new LG Lancet is a small device with a budget in mind. It has a 4.5″ inch WVGA display (854×480) with a Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood, a 2,100 mAh battery, and 8GB of storage expandable via microSD. There’s a few software tweaks to Windows 8.1 on board including Knock On, QuickMemo, and a few camera options.

The Lancet is available now for $5 per month for 24 months, $69 off-contract on Verizon’s pre-paid plan, and $120 completely outright. For the next few days the device is available for just $19.99 off-contract on Verizon’s pre-paid plan.
