This morning Lenovo has announced three new Windows 8.1 laptops in the form of the Z41, Z51, and Ideapad 100 at Tech World in Bejing, China. While not the thinnest or lightest laptops out there, these should provide a great option for customers.
Let’s start by talking about the Z41 and Z51. Both machines run on top of 5th gen Intel i7 processors with 1080p displays, and AMD processors. Aside of that you can get up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1TB HDD or SSHD. The primary differences between the two machines are the 14-inch and 15-inch screens. All those specs line up with what should make an excellent experience for any consumer.
Dolby surround sound speakers are also on board both laptops. The Z51 also houses an Intel RealSense 3D camera which allows it to “bring the world to life in 3D”.
Both the Z41 and Z51 will be available in June with prices starting at $499 for the Z41 and $599 for the Z51.
Aside from these, Lenovo has also introduced the Ideapad 100. This $249 entry-level laptop powered by an Intel Baytrail-M processor. It has a 14 or 15 inch display with a resolution of 1366×768. Models will be available with RAM up to 8GB of DDR3. Storage options will be available with HDD’s up to 500GB or SSD’s up to 128GB. The battery is only expected to last 4 hours, which is a bit of a disappointment, but nonetheless this laptop should prove to be pretty nice when it releases in June.
