With so many Android phones out there, it can be a daunting task to pick just one to suit your needs. There are tons of reviews and comparisons out there to help you decide, but can still be tough to decide based on your own needs. Well, now Google wants to step in and help out with that with their new tool.
If you head over to www.android.com/phones/whichphone/ you can follow the step by step guide to find a list of phones that suits your needs. First you’ll be asked what you plan to use the phone for. The list included common tasks like taking photos, listening to music, web browsing, social media, and of course talking on the phone. You’ll then be asked for how long you’ll be doing that task. After that, you’ll repeat the process two more times.
After you’ve done that, you will be asked to choose a carrier you are going to buy the phone from or use it on. Once you’ve placed in that info, you’ll get a list of three top match phones that fit your given criteria. Everyone will have different options at first depending on the criteria they chose. From here you can also further narrow things down by choosing the size of phone you want, the price range, and whether or not it needs to be brand new. In my case, the tool recommended the HTC One M9, LG G4, and Nexus 6. That’s pretty much dead on for me because I could easily choose any of the 3.
If you’re in the market for a new Android smartphone, this is definitely a tool you’ll want to check out!
