Google Adds Stock Clock App To Play Store

Google Adds Stock Clock App To Play Store

One of the ongoing trends lately for Google has been adding stock apps to Google Play for download by anyone. We’ve seen apps like the stock keyboard added, and now in a move I didn’t expect, Google has added the stock Android clock app to the Play Store.

The clock app is the same one found in stock Android Lollipop with the addition of Android Wear features. Basically the addition there is that users can now snooze or dismiss alarms from their smartwatch.

The stock Android clock app isn’t exactly feature packed, but it’s a solid options. It has a nice widget, reliable alarms and a great Material Design look and feel. Personally this is one of the big appeals of stock Android for me. Now that it’s available on the Play Store, those who use Android devices with a skin can be that much closer to stock Android.

The clock app is available now at the link below and should appear in your updates if you’re rocking a device with stock Android or CyanogenMod. Now, let’s just hope Google has the stock dialer in line up next.
