According to Bloomberg, Apple has just started early production of the next iPhone. The new iPhone will allgedly feature a design similar to the current models, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, but will include force touch.
Force touch was first introduced on the new 2015 Macbook and is also on updated versions of Apple’s Macbook lineup as well as the Apple Watch.
Bloomberg claims that product of the device is limited right now, but will be increased as soon as next month. Manufacturing issues could arise due to the new force touch display, but Apple apparently expects the process to go smoothly since the design is similar to previous models.
Rumors regarding changes to the device include it getting slightly thicker and wider. This would be to accommodate the new force touch display and to remove the protruding camera. It’s also possible that the camera could see a resolution bump, but I’m not putting any hope there.
