The Galaxy S6 is a really awesome phone in a lot of ways, but it’s got two big disadvantages for long time Samsung fans, a sealed in battery, and no microSD card support. The latter of those isn’t the end of the world, but the first one is, because the battery life on the Galaxy S6 is pretty terrible, for the most part. However now Incipio has come to the rescue with their brand new Offgrid case for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
This new case packs a built in 3,700 mAh battery which claims to double the amount of time you’ll be able to use your S6 compared to without it. I’m sure you’re worried that using this case will remove your fast charging capabilities, but don’t worry, the case still supports Quick Charge 2.0. It is unlikely however that wireless charging will still work.
We’ve seen battery cases before however, many, many times. One of the big things that separates this case from the crowd, is the built in capability to use a microSD card up to 128GB of storage. This feature works over OTG. However the single downside is that you can’t charge and use the extra memory at the same time. You can choose one or the other through a switch on the side of the case.
We’ve reached out to Incipio to try and get our hands on this case to give you a close look. Stay tuned for that. In the meantime, if you are interested in this new case, you can pick it up from Incipio’s website for $89.99. Will you get this for your Galaxy S6?Source: Incipio
