With less than a week separating us from the reveal of the 2015 Moto X, new images of the upcoming phone have hit the internet revealing a few key details. As we expected, the phone has a similar design to last year’s Moto X but with a few key changes.
First of all and least expected, a front facing flash. It seems Motorola may be putting a focus on selfies in this new phone since we rarely see front facing flashes outside of selfie centric devices so this is definitely something we didn’t expect. According to the user who posted these images the new phone will bring a 5.5″ inch display to the table, a notable change from the previous 5.2″ size.
In another set of leaked images we see another variant of the phone, this time with a white back and a gold trim on the metal. I previous versions of the Moto X, we haven’t been able to customize the color of the device’s trim, so this could point to that changing on the 2015 Moto X.
The 2015 Moto X is expected to be announced on July 28th at a Motorola event and should be available for purchase shortly after that. What are your thoughts on the new phone? Are you planning to pick one up? Let us know in the comments below!
