Google Announces A New Android One Phone For India

The Lave Pixel V1 is the newly announced Android One phone from Google.

Set to debut at Rs 11,349 ($175 approx) this is the latest in the line of phones from Google hoping to raise the profile of Android in India.


Spec wise the Lava Pixel V1 comes with a 5.5″ 720p display (267 PPI). Under the hood you will find a MediaTek 6582 with 2 GB of RAM. Camera wise there is a 13 MP (software enhanced 8 MP) primary camera, which can record video in full HD, and an 8 MP (software enhanced 5 MP) front facing camera. Your battery needs are taken care of with a 2,650 mAh Li-Polymer battery, that will give you 20 hours of talk time on 2G and 12 hours of talk time on 3G, according to Lava. A SD Card will be present and topping it all off the Pixel comes with Android Lollipop 5.1.

There is no release date as of right now, other than the landing page the only other information we have to go on right now is this slightly strange announcement video that Google released.
