This Is The ZUK Z1, A $280 Android Smartphone With USB-C, Fingerprint Sensor, And A Massive Battery

Chinese phones always impress me for one reason, they can pack a whole lot of specs in a very small price tag. Startup company ZUK has today introduced their first smartphone, the ZUK Z1. This new affordable smartphone brings some impressive specifications for it’s low price tag along with USB C and more.

Priced at $280, you probably wouldn’t expect to find a 5.5″ 1080p IPS display along with 3GB of RAM, a 13MP/8MP (front) camera, Android Lollipop, 64GB of storage, of the Snapdragon 801 processor under the hood. However that’s exactly what they ZUK Z1 delivers. It also has a massive 4,100 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. To charge up the phone you’ll have a USB-C port. ZUK hasn’t cut corners here either as this is a USB 3.1 port. ZUK will at some point also release a pair of headphones that are compatible with the USB-C port which will enable extra features such as adjustable noise cancellation. Don’t worry though, there’s still a 3.5mm headphone jack for regular headphones.

There are no details at this time on where the ZUK Z1 will be available outside of China, if it will be that is. You can pre-order it on ZUK’s website or JD.com.
