One the biggest dissapointments of Samsung’s announcements yesterday was the fact that the Galaxy Note 5 would not support expandable storage via a microSD card. However ahead of the launch of the device, we had heard several times that there would be a dual-SIM variant of the phone that would offer that feature. Today a retailer has posted a photo of that variant which highlights not only the dual-SIM capabilities, but also the microSD slot.
Similar to phones like the Huawei P8 Lite and Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3, microSD support is added within the SIM tray on this phone. Even though US variants of the Galaxy Note 5 won’t be offering the same functionality, it’s unknown why exactly Samsung decided not to include this option. It’s unknown right now which markets will get this variant of the device, but we know that it won’t be available in countries like the US.Via: Phandroid
