Google Announces OnHub To Take Care Of All Your Home Router Needs
Well this came out of nowhere, or as our own Ben Schoon said “Random product release is random”.
Google today announced details and pre-order of OnHub. A home router designed to handle everything a modern router should. Retailing at $199.99 and set for release in two colours, blue and black, the OnHub will be off pre-order on the 31st August. Over the last few years Google has been pushing into the home with Nest and Dropcam. This seems like a natural extension to their plan to take over the home.
Spec wise it is well kitted out. A dual-core 1.4 CPU with 1gb of ram and 4gb of storage. Connecting via both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi along with Bluetooth 4.0 and a USB 3.0 port and even an Ethernet connection to round everything off. The full tech specs are below if you want to check them all out.
