Even though it’s been a full 6 months since the Huawei Watch was first announced, we’re still not seeing it on the market. That might change very soon however as Huawei has revealed that they will launch the device on September 2nd at IFA. However, the real news today is that the Huawei Watch has just popped up on Amazon for pre-order and it reveals pricing, models, and more.
This listing reveals that there will be at least four models available for the Huawei Watch. They include a $349 base model which has a black leather band and stainless steel design. Going up from there we have a black stainless steel model which is priced at $449. From here things get really pricey. For the brown leather and gold model, the Huawei Watch will run you $699. Last but not least, the gold/gold model at a whopping $799.
On this same listing Huawei also points out compability with Android 4.3 or later, but also iOS 8.2 or later. We’ve been hearing rumors for a while regarding iOS support for Android Wear, but this is the most concrete proof we’ve had yet. Could it be a screw up? Sure it could. But with all the rumors we’ve heard, I’d safe that we’ll likely see full iOS support in a future Android Wear update.
For these prices, the Huawei Watch raises the price ceiling that the LG Watch Urbane previously set. The question is however, are you willing to pay for it? Let us know in the comments below.
