Instagram Learns How Pictures Work, Finally Lifts Square Requirement

It has finally happened. Instagram no longer requires you to post photos in a square. That means photos can be uploaded in their original landscape or portrait aspect ratio without the need to crop. This should prove very useful for any who enjoys posting photos they’ve taken on Instagram, but especially those who post videos.

This news comes a few weeks after Instagram bumped up the resolution in which photos are displayed on the social network. This new update comes with the 7.5 version which is currently available on both iOS and Android. Are you happy about this change? Let us know in the comments below!
