Google is expected to announced two new Nexus smartphones later this year, one from Huawei and another from LG. Today we’ve gotten a couple new looks at LG’s new Nexus device. Before we get into that however, let’s talk about the name. According to sources for Android Authority, LG’s Nexus will be called the Nexus 5X rather than simply the Nexus 5.
AndroidPIT has recently gotten their hands on a few new pictures of what is claimed to be the Nexus 5X. The pictures show the device from the back (as seen above) and at an angle (as seen below). Both pictures give us a look at the raised camera sensor, laser auto-focus, dual-LED flash, and fingerprint sensor.
Now of course let’s remember that these images may not show the final design of the Nexus 5X, but they do give us a really good idea of what we can expect.
The Nexus 5X is expected to arrive at a September 29th event alongside the Huawei Nexus. The Nexus 5X is expected to bring a 5.2″ 1080p display, Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 2,700 mAh battery, USB-C, and 12.3MP/5MP cameras. Pricing is expected to start at either $349 or $399 with both 16 and 32GB variants available in white, black, and blue.
