There are millions of peoples on Periscope broadcasting their live streams everyday, but many of them were unsatisfied with one feature that Periscope never supported and it was irritating why it didn’t. That feature was the landscape mode of video broadcasting! Finally, Periscope is getting an latest update to support landscape broadcasting. That means that when you tilt your phone sideways, the video sent to all of your viewers will be in landscape mode. Though, your Viewers can continue to watch with their phone in portrait orientation if they would like to, but they’ll need to turn it landscape to get full screen video. In addition to landscape video, the new Periscope update adds context for shared videos that appear in your feed. Even, With this feature, you’ll see an indicator showing who shared the video to you! That’s cool isn’t it?
There’s even a new mutual follow feature that Periscope promises will make private broadcasts easier by showing you a list of mutual followers, people that you follow and that also follow you. This make sense since those are the people that you’re most likely to invite to your private stream. The update is rolling out now to iOS and Android.
