Wireless charging really is my favorite way to charge a phone. Yes, fast charging is awesome, that is very true, but nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the convenience of just placing your phone down to charge. With wireless charging being built into more and more phones, it’s a technology I really hope catches on for consumers soon. One of the things that I know will definitely turn off many consumers is the price. A wireless charger isn’t cheap, and a good one is even further from that. However lately I’ve been testing out a $20 option from Choetech that’s budget friendly, and works well.
Choetech’s Circle Qi Wireless Charger is not a fancy charger, but it gets the job done well. This charger gets my device charged just as quickly as any other wireless charger, including my premium TYLT Vu, and it’s not too hard to get your device lined up on it. Simply place it down centered on the charger and ensure the blue LED turns on.
Speaking of which, that Blue LED is probably my favorite feature of this charger. It adds a nice look to the device and it’s easy to see even in a lit room that your phone is indeed charging.
I did most of my testing on this charger with the Google Nexus 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Both were easy to line up. The Note 5 requires you to place the phone down completely centered with the charging pad while the Nexus is just a bit off center. The easiest reference point is the “X” in the logo on the phone.
At $20, it’s hard to find a better Qi charger than this. Overall, it’s a solid choice with very few cons. The Choetech circle Qi wireless charger is available on Amazon for $19.99 with free shipping via Amazon Prime or any orders over $35.Buy it on Amazon
