Apple Releases “Move To iOS App” For Android In Case You’re Not Using The Droid You’re Looking For

Apple has today done the unthinkable, they’ve released an app for Android. This new app allows users to transfer their data from Android to iOS in case they want to switch platforms. The app makes it easy to transfer contacts, SMS history, photos & videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, and calendars to an iPhone from your Android device. The app does this by creating a virtual WiFi connection that your Android and iOS devices can connect to and then transfer the selected data.

While in the past it’s been more popular to go from iOS to Android, that has turned around a bit in the past few months. The release of Apple’s larger iPhones caught the attention of many, so it makes sense that Apple would want to give those users an easy option to switch platforms. “Move to iOS” is available on Google Play right now for free and is compatible with Android 4.0 and up.
