Nexus day is tomorrow! We’re just a day away from the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X from being officially announced. Rumors have been flying around for weeks, so what do we know about the Nexus 5X so far? Let’s pull all the leaks into one area to see just what we know about the phone so far.
In terms of the display, the Nexus 5X is expected to have a 5.2″ 1080p LCD display up front with dual-front facing speakers. It’s unclear right now what the resolution of the camera on the front of the Nexus 5X will be, but the rear camera is expected to come in at 12.7MP. That is backed up by a dual-LED flash and what appears to be a laser auto-focus.
On the outside, the Nexus 5X is expected to be constructed mainly of plastic and available in white, black, and icy blue. There will also be a fingerprint scanner on the back which will enable users to unlock their phones and to use Android Pay. USB C will also be found on the device and undoubtedly both fast charging and wireless charging.
Under the hood this phone will bring a Snapdragon 808 processor and 2GB of RAM (unconfirmed). Storage tiers are expected at 16 or 32GB and it will almost certainly be non-expandable. Band support is also plentiful with support for all major US carriers (including Verizon) as well as Project Fi.
Pricing on the Nexus 5X is expected to fall around $350 for the base model. Are you excited for this phone? Let us know in the comments below!Header Image Credit: Jovie Brett
