Nexus 5X Will Start At $379, Nexus 6P At $499 – Both Phones To Be Sold Online Only

We’re less than a day away from Google’s event where they will officially unveil this year’s crop of new Nexus phones, but this is the internet. Everything leaks. Thanks to the team over at Android Police, we now know even more about this year’s Nexus phones. First of all, let’s focus on the Nexus 5X. Android Police is currently reporting that the Nexus 5X will be priced at $379 for the base 16GB model with the 32GB version bringing a higher price point. At launch the Nexus 5X will be available in the US, UK, Korea, Japan, and Ireland. Android Police has also gotten their hands on the official price of the Nexus 6P. The base 32GB model will reportedly come in at $499. At launch the phone will be available in the U.S., UK, Ireland, Canada, and Japan.

If you’re hoping to pre-order the Nexus 5X or the Nexus 6P, you’ll be limited in your options. Another report claims that both phones will only be available online, not in carrier stores like the past few years. It’s unclear if this will be limited to just Google’s own store right now. We could see the phones on Amazon or other online retailers, but I’d expect at least some exclusivity to the Google Store, at least at launch. Pre-orders for both phones will start tomorrow. Which one are you planning to get?
