Microsoft Unveils The Lumia 950 & 950 XL – The Windows Phone Flagships We’ve Been Waiting For

Windows Phone flagships are back! Thanks to Microsoft, there are now two new high end Windows Phone flagships on the market. The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are official and they’re pretty impressive if I do say so myself. So let’s start with specs.

  • Lumia 950 – $549
    • 5.2″ 2560×1440 OLED Display
    • Snapdragon 808
    • 3GB RAM
    • 20MP Rear Camera
    • 32GB Storage (w/ microSD)
    • USB C
  • Lumia 950 XL – $649
    • 5.7″ 2560×1440 OLED Display
    • Snapdragon 810
    • 3GB RAM
    • 20MP Rear Camera
    • 32GB Storage (w/ microSD)
    • USB C

The Lumia 950 & 950 XL both come with Windows 10 out of the box and using a feature called Continuum, they can be connected to an external display to give you a full Windows 10 experience directly from your phone. To keep things cool while you’re pushing them hard, they both also incorporate optional liquid cooling systems. Both devices are on track to release this November, although availability is a bit sketchy at this point. Microsoft didn’t detail any carrier compatibility, but rumors so far point toward the devices possibly being AT&T exclusives. However we’ll have to wait and see what happens there. As of now however, are you planning to pick either of these up? Let us know in the comments below!
