In the past updating an application on Google Play has been a bit of a rocky road as far as time is concerned. Hitting publish starts the process, but users of the app may not see the update for a couple of hours. Thankfully that changes now with a new features from Google Play called “timed publishing”. This new features allows developers to push updates to all their users with just the click of a button.
To accomplish this developers will upload a new APK just as they always did and then allow the new update to process for a couple of hours. From there they will see a “Go live” button appear which allows developers to push that update to all users within the span of just a few minutes. There are a few caveats here. For one thing you can not do this the first time an app is published, only on updates. All updates will also still have the processing waiting period. You can only process one change at a time and you cannot revert changes. Google has uploaded support documents detailing the process at the source link below.Source: Google Via: Android Central
