Android Marshmallow Ported To The 5-Year Old HTC HD2, Because Why Not?

ROM developers are hard at work right now getting together their releases of Android Marshmallow, but one XDA developer has turned his attention to another project, porting the new OS to an ancient device, the HTC HD2. Released back in March of 2010, the HD2 is infamous for being the “phone that never dies” as it has received just about every major Android update during it’s extended lifespan.

Now someone has ported Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the device via CyanogenMod 13. The ROM is still in it’s very early stages and thus is quite unstable. There are plenty of bugs and would prevent it from being “daily driver” worthy, granted you’re probably not doing that anyway. Regardless, it’s still incredible that a developer was able to breathe new life into this phone yet again. Do or did you have the HTC HD2? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to check out XDA for more info on this ROM.
