WiFi Calling Rolling Out To Verizon Devices Starting December 8th With Galaxy S6/S6 Edge

Verizon has just recently announced that they will soon begin rolling out to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge starting December 8th. “Advanced Calling” will be enabled in a software update. Using WiFi calling, customers will be able to call US numbers free of charge. Just like WiFi calling on other networks, this feature is designed to allow users to continue a phone call once they’ve left Verizon’s coverage.

Other devices will get an update to enable this feature soon, but for now it’s just S6 and S6 Edge. iPhones will follow “early next year”.
