Motorola is currently rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the Moto X Pure Edition right now. A soak test for this update has been rolling out to select users over the past few weeks, but now it’s here for everyone. This news comes via Motorola’s David Schuster via Google+.
The update is rolling out now but for now only to users on Verizon, Sprint, or US Cellular. Why AT&T and T-Mobile users aren’t getting this, I have no clue, however it can’t be far off. I’m installing this update on my Moto X Pure Edition as we speak and we will be posting a piece later this week detailing how it has changed the device. You can easily check for the update through your settings menu and that should begin the download for your device.
In case you’re unfamilar with Marshmallow, you should check out our full review! However the highlights in this update include Doze for better battery life, Google Now on Tap, and hundreds of under the hood improvements. Have you gotten the update? Let us know in the comments below!
