HTC has been driving a rocky road the past two years. With the M9 being what can easily be considered a total flop, they have some serious ground to make up. That said, recently leaked photographs give us a taste of what we might be seeing out of HTC in 2016 and so far, things look promising.
The HTC One X9 recently made it’s way through TENAA in China and several images have since come out. The design of this device pulls quite a bit from the recently launched HTC One A9. The bottom of the phone houses capacitive navigation buttons and the top and bottom edges house what appear to be front facing speakers. The device is of course all metal and it appears to use microUSB rather than the new USB C.
We’re expecting the X9 to launch sometime in 2016. Rumors claim that the device will pack a 2.2GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 13MP/5MP camera setup. It’s unknown where and when the device will launch, but nonetheless, we’re going to keep our eyes on this one.
