Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S7, is just a couple short weeks away from its official launch. However we have yet to see actual hands-on images of the device. Today however that may have changed.
The image as seen below is likely our first look at the device in the flesh and it actually looks pretty good. Like the press renders have shown, this is a similar design to the Galaxy S6, but this time with curved glass on each side. Another notable change is the camera which appears to no longer protrude from the device.
The source also claims that the Exynos powered variant of the device is about 15% more powerful than the Snapdragon model (which will likely be sold in the US). They also claim that battery life will be comparable “with last year’s Note line” (Note 5) and that the device can charge from 0% to 80% in just a mere 30 minutes. Water resistence is also mentioned as is the 12MP rear camera sensor.
The Galaxy S7 will be unveiled later this month just ahead of MWC and is expected to go on sale in early March. What are you thoughts on this design based on what we’ve seen so far? Let us know in the comments!
