TYLT Energi Charging Station Review

More Than Your Average Charging Station

Love them or hate them, wires are a part of our everyday lives. We can’t avoid them forever, but we can organize them. With their new Energi charging station, that’s exactly what TYLT looks to accomplish.

Like most other TYLT products, the Energi charging station has a unique, yet functional design. There’s a method to their madness. With this design you’ll either love it, or you’ll hate it. Personally I’m a huge fan and it’s when you get to the details when things get truly impressive.

The two dark portions to either side of the charging station are designed to hold excess cables. You can easily feed the excess cable into the center slot to keep things organized. I also found that it was easy to wrap the power cord for the Energi itself through this slot when you’re traveling.

With 5 ports, the Energi charging station is capable of charging up to 5 devices at a constant 2.4A rate. While it lacks rapid charging for USB C products like the Nexus 6P and 5X as well as Qualcomm Quick Charge, it will charge things at a consistent rate and it’ll work with any USB enabled products.

At this point you’re probably wondering, “Why does that 5th port look different?” Well, that’s my favorite part. This port is actually a rechargeable 3,200 mAh power bank that slides out of the charging station with the press of a button. Simply press the button and the power bank pops out so you can charge on the go. When you get back home and it’s time to recharge, simply slide the bank back in and it starts charging again.

The Energi charging station is a solid product for any household. It ends the hunt for the outlet and adds features that no other option does.

This charging station retails for $79.99 and while that is a bit high, I personally think it’s worth it. This is easily the best charging station I’ve ever used and with its unique design and features, you really can’t say no to it. I highly recommend picking it up if you’re interested.
