After hearing sketchy reports yesterday that the One M10 had been pushed back to a mid-April launch, that has since been given a bit more credit. Infamous tipster @evleaks has mentioned through his Twitter account that the device will go on sale in the United States through retail outlets starting the week of May 9th.
Traditionally HTC has launched their flagship smartphones between mid-February and mid-March, so this is certainly this is a change for the company.
However it’s not all bad news. @evleaks also mentioned that the company first smartwatch will also launch and go on sale before the end of April. HTC has been rumored to be working on a smartwatch for the past couple of years, but so far we haven’t seen any announcements. Last year the company worked with Under Armor to create a fitness band, but that never made its way to market.
The HTC One M10, is expected to carry a design similar to that of the HTC One A9. It will likely lose it’s signature Boomsound speakers in exchange for a fingerprint sensor on the front and a more compact design. The screen is also rumored to come in at 5.2″ and the device will likely end up being the Snapdragon 820. There are also rumors that the Ultrapixel camera sensor will make a return, but this time with more megapixels.
Small consolation, HTC fans: you'll be able to pick up the watch before the end of April.
