Poetic Revolution Case For Nexus 6P Review

Google’s Nexus 6P is one awesome device, but with an all metal body prone to scratching,  you’re not going to want to take it camping or into any situation where it is going to go through some abuse. Thanks to Poetic however, your phone can survive a drop or two, or 100, without any damage at all.

The Poetic Revolution case for the Nexus 6P is essentially an Otterbox alternative. The case provide a hard interior layer backed up by a thick yet flexible TPU outer layer. This layer provides plenty of protection against shocks and really does its job well.  The case just about doubles the thickness of the device, but I didn’t find it unbearable by any means.

The biggest con of this case, at least in my opinion, is installing it. Since the hard layer on the inside has very little flex, it is extremely difficult to get it on the phone, or off for that matter. Even the outer layer is a pain. However once it is installed, you won’t have to worry about anything coming undone.

The Revolution also has a built in screen protector to keep the device protected. While it definitely has an impact on touch screen responsiveness, it’s not all that bad.

One big highlight of the case however was the kickstand built into the rear. This allows me to not only place the phone in landscape for watching movies (which is awesome with the front facing speakers, but also allows me to place the phone in portrait, not something most cases like this are capable of doing.

The case also features a loop on the top left corner which allows you to attach the device to a carabiner clip to hold on a backpack or even around your belt. The ports are also covered up to protect them from dust and provide a very minimal amount of protection from water.

The Poetic Revolution for the Nexus 6P is likely the best rugged case for this device available today and at just under $17, it’s one heck of a deal as well. If you’re interested in picking one up, check it out on Amazon at the link below.
