Inateck Marsbox Bluetooth Speaker Review
Everyone likes music, right? One thing everyone doesn’t like? Cables. Thankfully, Bluetooth speakers are an easy solution to listening to your favorite songs without being tied down to a cable. With Inateck’s Marsbox speaker, you get a solid Bluetooth speaker that looks great at well.
This speaker features a unique red and black design which I am absolutely in love with. It really stands out and fits well into almost any space. The size of the speaker is also very nice as it can fit easily into any backpack without any trouble at all.
In terms of sound quality, this speaker is pretty good. The volume gets relatively high and the quality of the sound is pretty decent, however it sounds a bit muffled with a bit of distortion at higher volumes. However for the price, I can’t really complain.
A great addition to the Marsbox is the controls up top. From left to right we have a button for accepting/rejecting phone calls and changing modes (the Marsbox does pack an FM radio mode), followed by volume/music controls. Lastly there is a Play/Pause button. In the center there is also a small microphone for talking on the phone. The mic sounds decent, but don’t expect much.
On the back of the speaker you’ll find a microUSB port for charging as well as the power button and an AUX port for plugging in non Bluetooth devices. The Marsbox comes with a 3.5mm AUX cable which complements the color of the speaker and also looks great.
Battery life is definitely a highlight as well since I only had to charge the speaker once during my few weeks testing it out. Inateck claims 15 hours of use and from what I can tell, that is accurate.
Overall the Marsbox speaker is a solid Bluetooth speaker. It is definitely not for the audiophile, but the sound is good, battery life is great, and the price is pretty low. At retail this speaker costs just under $60, but you can easily get it for around $40 or so on Amazon. If you’re interested in picking one up, check out the links below.
