Samsung Pay Now Has 5 Million Users After Just 6 Months

Samsung’s first entry into the mobile payment area, Samsung Pay, is now servicing 5 million users around the globe in its first 6 months of being available. In that same time frame, Samsung reports that the service has handled over $500 million in purchases.

So far the fastest adoption has been seen in the US and South Korea, however the company has teased that they will be expanding to countries such as Australia, China, Brazil, the UK, Spain, Singapore, and even Canada.

Samsung has yet to reveal how many users are actively using the service as many undoubtedly signed up for an account and later forgot about it.
