ASUS Confirms Marshmallow Updates For 8 Devices Including The ZenFone 2 And More

Today ASUS has announced their plans for Android Marshmallow. While “N” is right around the corner, ASUS has been a bit behind, however they have confirmed today that they will be updating 8 different smartphones and tablets to 6.0 very soon. The full list is below:

  • PadFone S (PF500KL)
  • ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition (ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE500KG, ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE551KL, ZE600KL, ZE601KL)
  • ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)
  • ZenFone Max (ZC550KL)
  • ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML)

Aside from adding the normal Marshmallow features such as Doze, app permissions, and Google Now on Tap, this update will also replace ASUS’ app such as SMS, mail, and calendar apps with Google’s versions. However if you’re used to the previous versions, you’ll be able to grab them on Google Play.

ASUS has confirmed that updates for all of those devices will come in Q2 of 2016, meaning that June is the absolute latest the update will arrive.
