VicTsing Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review
If you’re a PC gamer, I think you’ll agree that the most crucial part of your setup, aside from the PC itself, is the keyboard. I can put up with a sub-par monitor or mouse, but give me a bad keyboard, and it ruins the experience. As much as I really want a top of the line, fancy mechanical keyboard for my setup, price is usually what puts me on a cheaper option, and I’m sure there are hundreds in the same situation. However it doesn’t have to be that way, thanks to the VicTsing mechanical gaming keyboard.
This 104-key gaming keyboard features your standard QWERTY layout with a full size number pad and plenty of extra function keys, however the fun doesn’t stop there. First let’s talk about the build quality of the keyboard.
Crafted from an aluminum body, this keyboard screams premium, which is surprising considering the $80 price point that you’ll commonly find on Amazon (prices do vary depending on when you buy). The keyboard is very hefty which is great since it won’t move around much when you’re typing or playing a game. The design itself is also solid with the black design fitting in great in just about any environment.
As far as the keys themselves go, all I can say is wow, they’re awesome. I’m no keyboard expert, but I was very impress with these keys. They work great and since this is a mechanical keyboard, we’ve gotta talk about the click. It’s amazing. It is a little loud, but if you’re a fan of the mechanical keyboard sound, you won’t be disappointed at all by this keyboard. It uses Kahli blue “clicky” switches, so if you’ve used something like the Logitech G710, you’ll feel at home here.
VicTsing has also added “anti-ghosting” technology to the keys on this keyboard which means that each key is controlled by a separate switch. This fixes the common problem where some keys don’t work when multiple keys are pressed simultaneously.
Now let’s not forget, the backlight. Each key is lit up by an individual LED and it looks spectacular. There are 9 different patterns on this keyboard (as seen in the video review above) each with its own unique look. For me some of them are a little overkill, but dang, they sure do look awesome.
Personally I can’t say that there’s much wrong with this keyboard. It works incredibly well and for the price, I’m impressed. My only minor complaint would be the lack of dedicated media and volume controls, but even then, you’ll get used to the function combinations.
