One thing that’s easy to do when you’re driving is to go over the speed limit by mistake. Just about everyone does it at some point or another and sometimes that simply mistake can cost you. Popular navigation app Waze has recently been updated to help users remember when they’re speeding so they can slow down before they get in trouble. The new speed limits function alerts users on screen and through an optional sound when they are going over the speed limit. That alert is customizable however to the amount above the limit you’re traveling, 5%, 10%, or 15%.
This new feature currently only works in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Czech Republic, El Salvador, France, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad, Tobago, and Uruguay, but it should be coming to other regions in the near future.
