Last year’s ASUS ZenFone 2 proved to be a pretty big hit for the company in 2015, and for 2016 they’re eyeing to replicate that success with a new design and more premium materials. Slated to be released later this year at Computex, the ZenFone 3 features 2.5D glass on both the front and back as well as an all-metal frame. The leaked listing also reveals USB C connectivity and a fingerprint sensor.
The image seen above shows off the standard ZenFone 3 with a rear power button which presumably houses the fingerprint sensor. This device also trades the on-screen navigation buttons from the ZenFone 2 for capacitive keys on the phone’s “chin”.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe features a similar design, but with a physical home button on the front which likely houses the fingerprint sensor. This device will feature an all-metal design rather than a metal and glass build. The listing doesn’t mention much else, but it does highlight the fact that the design will skip the antenna lines, a huge plus for any fans of a clean design.
So far we don’t know much about specifications, but we should hear more about these devices in the coming months.
