Samsung has today launched a new customer support app for their Android smartphones and tablets. This new app, dubbed Samsung Members, offers live customer support for any issues customers may have with their devices. The app is available so far for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, but with one big caveat, it’s only available in China, Spain, Brazil, Russia, and UAE (United Arab Emirates).
The service is of course free and allows not only access to live support with expert advisors, but also with a community of loyal, experience Galaxy users who should be able to help with most user questions. The app will also be able to perform tests on your device to help the advisors get the information they might need to help users with their problems. Those advisors will even have the ability to connect to the device and take control to help fix the problems. Critical errors detected in that test will automatically start a support session, but smaller issues will offer troubleshooting steps.
The app is currently available for S7 users in selected countries through the Galaxy Apps store pre-loaded on your device. It’s unclear if or when this service will launch in other countries, so for now we’ll just have to wait and see.
