Google Extends $199 Nexus 5X Deal For Another Month

Last month Google announced that Project Fi was opening up to the public, dropping the invite-only method of entry. That said however, there’s still that ever so slight problem with only being able to use 3 different smartphones on the network. Granted, the Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, and Nexus 5X are all affordable and great phones, however not everyone can drop $300, $400, $500 just to switch. To help more users get a jumpstart on Project Fi, Google kicked off a deal you couldn’t say no to, sign up for Project Fi, get a Nexus 5X for just $199.

That deal was supposed to end today, however the company decided to extend it for another month, now scheduled to end in early May. To take advantage of this stellar deal you’ll need to purchase the Nexus 5X via Project Fi and activate the device within 30 days. After that, the phone will need to be active on Project Fi for at least 30 days otherwise you’ll be charged the full $349 price for the device.
