On the heels of Netflix hiking their rates for customers, Amazon is today giving customers easier access to their Instant Video service. Previously you could only access this service with a $99/year Amazon Prime membership, however now you can simply pay $8.99/month for access to Amazon Instant Video. Even though Instant Video only falls $1 cheaper than Netflix does, it may be enticing to some customers as the service is constantly growing and offering more and more exclusive content (including the still untitled Clarkson, Hammond, and May Amazon Prime show coming Autumn 2016).
In related news, Amazon has also started offering their Prime memberships in a subscription format with prices starting at $10.99/month. Will you be signing up for Instant Video? Let us know in the comments below!
