Virtual Reality is the next big thing in gaming, so it only makes sense that one of the world’s most popular games would take advantage of the technology. Today Minecraft has officially launched a new variant of the game for Samsung’s Gear VR headset. The game is available now via the Oculus store for $6.99, but do keep in mind you’ll need a game controller that can connect to your Samsung smartphone in order to play.
Within the game you’ll have access to two different game modes, cinema mode and full VR. Full VR mode does exactly what you’d think, however cinema mode inexplicably puts you into a room (within Minecraft, because 4th wall break) where you’re playing Minecraft on a screen in front of you. I guess that’s cool? Anyway, the game is available now, so if you’re interested, fire up your compatible Samsung smartphone, download, and immerse yourself in the world of Minecraft.
