There are a lot of rumors regarding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 6, but this is one of the most straightforward and obvious to date. SamMobile is today reporting that the upcoming phablet will pack USB C for charging and connectivity.
It was a little disappointing to see that Samsung didn’t include the new port on the Galaxy S7 family, but like the S7, the Note 6 is also rumored to pack the same IP68 water and dust resistance. Since the Note 6 is Samsung’s “powerhouse” flagship, it makes sense to include a port which is capable of faster data transfers and also using more advanced accessories. Presumably we’ll also see an updated Gear VR headset along with this new phone.
Other Galaxy Note 6 rumors point toward a slightly larger 5.8″ display, up to 6GB of RAM, and an iris scanner for added security. It looks as though Samsung will be launching the phone later this summer, likely earlier than their usual early Autumn launch. Are you excited to see the Note 6? Let us know in the comments!
