YouTube Is Rolling Out An Autoplay Feature To Android

One feature of YouTube’s website that you either love or hate is autoplay. The site automatically queues up another video for you to watch based on the one you just finished. Sometimes it’s great as you can find new videos you might now have otherwise found. On the other hand, it can be just a bit annoying as the videos won’t stop, they just keep going. Like it or not, it seems that YouTube has decided to implement the same feature on mobile devices, at least through the Android app.

In what seems to be a server-side update, users are noticing the addition of a new toggle under videos that enable them to turn the feature on and off, so if you don’t like it, you are of course free to just shut it off completely.

I’m currently seeing this change on my Nexus 6P, but none of my other phones. Other users are also reporting the feature as appearing for them, so odds are this will come to more users over the coming days.

Thanks Isaiah!
