After waiting for months, Android Pay has now officially launched in the UK. We’ve known since March that this was coming, and now it’s finally here with the app now available for download from the Play Store for UK users.

For now, Android Pay will be compatible with both MasterCard and VISA cards in the UK with supported banks including the Bank of Scotland, First Direct, HSBC, Halifax, Lloyds Bank, M&S Bank, MBNA, and Nationwide Building Society. If your bank is on that list, you’ll be able to sign up today. If not, you’ll need to wait for support to come.
Further support for international countries is expected to follow soon, possibly to be announced at Google I/O 2016 which kicks off tomorrow.
